Our Story

We fantasize about creating most of the year and taking a break to touch foreign soil during the winter to make space in our minds for new visions, after all nature doesn’t bloom year round so why should we? We are authentic artists who appreciate what each corner of the globe has to offer, having crossed paths with people from all over - often just outside our doorstep, as we are fortunate to have the world come to Florence. While we come from entirely different backgrounds, I from Minnesota and Andrés from Venezuela, we share a great admiration for all things beauty, relishing the small pleasures in life and living slow. This has called us to the renowned Renaissance city we currently call home, where we take turns being the artist and the muse.

  • PARTNER // GRAPHIC DESIGNER

    Katrin Schroeder is an accomplished artist and graphic designer born in the frigid lands of Minnesota. When not compassionately running Belleza Creative or skillfully wielding a paintbrush, you can find Katrin exploring the stunning streets of the historic city of Florence, immersing herself in its rich cultural heritage and taking inspiration from the Renaissance beauty that surrounds her.

    She worked full-time as a designer for Sigma Beauty for 4 years, with an initial focus on newsletter design (for a subscriber list of over 1 million) before being selected to envision and breathe life into special edition makeup collections based off of her trend forecast research. These collections were then sold internationally by companies such as Urban Outfitters, and acclaimed by celebrity makeup artists as well as major publications.

    The skill set she developed during that time set her up for success to run her own creative studio, proudly serving other small brands and creatives so that they may achieve their dreams, too.

  • PARTNER // PHOTOGRAPHER + WRITER

    Born in Caracas, Venezuela, to an Italian mother and a Venezuelan father, to the backdrop of a country set in turmoil, since a very young age he felt the urge to express himself, it started with writing, as a way to give form to his thoughts, as a mirror upon which to inspect his piscean soul.

    Several years later, after transferring to Florence, Italy he found photography, in it he is actively seeking beauty and shaping the way he views the world around him. This is his pursuit of happiness and hopefully a good bridge to other’s hearts and minds.

    Aiming to improve, in 2018 he obtained a Master’s degree in photography from Raffles Milano Institute of Fashion and Design, wherein he had the opportunity to learn from and work alongside internationally renowned photographers such as Cesare Circardini, Giovanni Gastel, Aida Muluneh, Giorgio Galimberti, Erik Kessels, Ferdinando Scianna and others. Being in Milan was a memorable and formative experience yet he’ll always be glad to call Florence his home, for it is a city that brings great inspiration with it’s timeless charm and rich cultural heritage.

    Photography, as any creative endeavor, is rife with uncertainty, yet very satisfying on a personal level. He don’t know where this road will lead but he’s willing to find out and in the meanwhile, share with you all those fleeting moments he’s come to love.
